Antes del 2003 los miembros de la banda eran un grupo de garage rock llamado Parva (conocido previamente como Ruston Parva). Sin embargo, luego de que su compañía discográfica los abandonase, la banda retornó a sus raíces y adaptó un estilo más inclinado hacia el britpop, ayudando al grupo a alcanzar su actual popularidad en el Reino Unido y más allá como consecuencia.
Varios de los miembros de la banda son fanáticos devotos del equipo de fútbol inglés Leeds United F.C.. El grupo fue nombrado por el equipo sudafricano Kaizer Chiefs F.C., el antiguo equipo del capitán del Leeds Lucas Radebe.
El 18 de febrero de 2005, abrieron el acto en el show de los premios NME y ganaron el Philip Hall Radar Award.
La banda relanzó su sencillo 'Oh My God' el 21 de febrero, que llegó a la sexta posición. Su álbum debut Employment fue lanzado el 7 de marzo de 2005, entrando en la tercera posición esa semana. A pesar de ser el favorito, el álbum no logró ganar el premio Mercury Music Prize del 2005.

Un video musical, hasta ahora mostrado exclusivamente en internet, para su canción "Sink that Ship" fue lanzado en septiembre del 2005. El video aparece en el sitio web de Electronic Arts como una herramienta de promoción para su juego Burnout Revenge, pero aparece sin créditos.
Wilson vendió su tamborín rojo en una subasta auspiciada por el show de radio Xfm a finales del 2005, para recaudar fondos para un refugio de caridad para los desamparados. La oferta ganadora fue de 375.00£.

This Is Hell, or TIH for short, are a Long Island, New York-based hardcore punk band. The band formed from members of Long Island acts Scraps And Heart Attacks and The Backup Plan when both broke up and went on unofficial hiatus in the summer of 2004. The band quickly self-released a 4-song demo EP and followed it up with another EP the following summer on Long Island record label State of Mind Recordings. They toured nationally with Bane in the summer of 2006. In early March of '07, TIH will be touring around all of North America with the established Winnipeg Hardcore Band Comeback Kid.
This Is Hell was Awarded the Title of " 2007 Strongest Band Of The Year" In April while on tour w/ Comeback Kid, Endwell, It Dies Today and Parkway Drive. This award was received due to their rigorous pre-show workout routines.

Sara Beth Bareilles (IPA pronunciation: [bɐˈɹɛlɪs]) (born on December 7, 1979[1] in Humboldt County, California) is a singer-songwriter and pianist.[2] She has been compared to Fiona Apple, Norah Jones, and Joni Mitchell despite her lack of formal training in either voice or piano.[2] Sara attended UCLA, where she was a member of their a cappella group Awaken.[3] The group's rendition of Bareilles' "Gravity" was featured on the Best of College A Cappella 2004 compilation CD. On April 15, 2005,[2] she was signed to Epic Records by A&R exec Pete Giberga.[4]
In 2007, Bareilles toured as the opening act for Aqualung and Mika. In mid-2007 she opened for Rocco DeLuca and the Burden during their inaugural headline tour and co-headlined a tour with Jon McLaughlin. In autumn of that year, she, with The Hives, opened for part of Maroon 5's U.S. tour. Her first full-length major-label album, Little Voice, was released on July 3, 2007.
In June 2007, iTunes featured Bareilles' single "Love Song" as the free single of the week. The following month, Little Voice shot to #1 on the list of most downloaded albums of the music store, and bowed at number 45 on the Billboard 200, selling 16,000 copies.[5]

The Hives se formaron en 1993 y lanzaron su álbum debut, el EP Oh Lord! When? How?, en 1996. En 1997 lanzaron el LP Barely Legal, y en 1998 el EP a.k.a. I-D-I-O-T con la discográfica sueca orientada al skate punk, Burning Heart Records.
Poco después comenzaron una gira por los Estados Unidos, y finalmente en el 2000 lanzaron su álbum, Veni Vidi Vicious; el albúm incluía los sencillos Main Offender y Hate To Say I Told You So. Su álbum recopilatorio de grandes éxitos Your New Favourite Band, fue lanzado por la discográfica Poptones en 2001. Después de eso, la banda realiza muchas giras y lanzó de nuevo sus discos en los Estados Unidos.
